Seminars

SMS is pleased to announce its ICD-10 Training for WI and MN during April, May, and June 2015. This course is the AHIMA 2 day Basic ICD-10 course. During this program you will spend approximately nine hours doing actual coding while learning the rationale and the Official ICD-10 Coding Guidelines.

October 1, 2015 is quickly approaching. Facilities should be in the process of cleaning up and clarifying diagnosis with physicians at this time. Dual coding of ICD-9 and ICD-10 needs to begin no later than July 1, 2015. Facilities that have begun the process are finding that it is taking significantly more time than anticipated to communicate with physicians and begin the ICD-10 coding process.

This course is designed for HIM/HIS, MDS, and billing staff in long term care settings. HCPCS/CPT coding is not covered in this session.

Do you need to train 8 or more staff? Consider a customized training at your location. It may be more cost effective for SMS to come to you
