Steve Marshall, CEO

Steve Marshall is a co-founder of SMS and has been involved in ancillary services delivery in the long-term care industry for over 25 years. Under Steve’s leadership, SMS has grown from a small regional respiratory equipment company to a national provider of a diverse set of healthcare products and services. This growth is due in large part to Steve’s focus on service, quality and customer satisfaction.

A graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Madison, Steve previously managed ancillary services for Unicare Health Facilities (now Extendicare), one of the nation’s leading long-term care providers.

John Marshall, President

John Marshall joined SMS in 2005, and has held several key positions within the company. He currently has a significant role in the corporate strategy, and sales & marketing functions of SMS. He also oversees SMS’s LTC Consulting group and the HME division.

John holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Vanderbilt University and an MBA from the University of Kansas. Prior to joining SMS, he worked in management consulting, as well as for the specialty distribution arm of Cardinal Health.

Eddie Long, Chief Financial Officer

Eddie Long joined SMS in 2014 as the Company’s CFO. Mr. Long oversees all aspects of SMS’s finance and accounting functions and other internal operational and administrative areas.. He has extensive experience in the health care industry both in Europe and the U.S, encompassing broad financial and operational responsibilities.

Born in the U.K., Eddie is a Certified Accountant and has been based in the US since 1991.

Greg Reppar, Chief Operating Officer

Greg Reppar joined SMS in 2017, and serves as the company’s COO. Greg oversees the development, implementation, and support of all operations functions at SMS. He has an extensive background in the medical gas industry. Prior to joining the company, he held multiple operational roles during his 17 year tenure at Linde Gas North America, LLC. Greg is a veteran Naval Officer and a Six Sigma Black Belt.

Debbie Griffith, Vice President & Chief Clinical Officer

Debbie has dedicated her life and career to the betterment of respiratory therapy patients. She brings 16 years of experience to her role at SMS. As a registered respiratory therapist, Debbie understands the needs of all types of patients and brings that understanding and a passion for patient care to every assignment. Prior to joining SMS through the SMS/RCS merger in 2012, Debbie was a co-founder of RCS Management Corporation.

Debbie is a Registered Respiratory Therapists and holds a bachelors degree in science from Ball State University. She is also a member of the Indiana Society of Respiratory Care, the National Board for Respiratory Care and the American Association for Respiratory Care.
